MDC-T accepts incompetence

13 Oct 2011 at 13:08hrs | Views

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">The whistle blowing Wikileaks website has been a blessing in disguise to the MDC-T leadership as the truth concerning the incompetence of their blundering top man in this labour-formed political party is now under scrutiny.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">It had also made the MDC-T leadership to realize that they cannot run this country with the crop of the current leadership if they are not adequately trained and molded into real leaders.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">Having realized that all the MDC-T leadership needs to undergo a through training so that they are able to lead and organize themselves properly, this western-sponsored political party recently launched a leadership academy in the capital which would train and mold all MDC-T leaders into good leaders as this party was hitherto led by inexperienced bunch of opportunists.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">This leadership academy, which, they termed, Leadership, Excellency Academy for Democracy (LEAD) Zimbabwe is meant to teach the MDC-T leadership about among other things, ideological teachings on social democracy and history of Zimbabwe.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">The MDC-T had been claiming that they are champions of social democracy but the launch of the academy has exonerated those people who had been questioning leadership qualities of these people.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">The launch of LEAD Zimbabwe confirms why the MDC-T parliamentarians were always good at walking out of parliament whenever they thought that they were not in agreement of what was taking place in the august house. That had shown that it was just lack of leadership qualities that was driving them to act that way as they had no better understanding of Zimbabwean politics.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">It is revealing for a party like MDC-T to come out in the open to the people and notify them that for the past twelve (12) years their party was led by a butch of leaders who had no directions who only joined politics for monetary gains.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">Their realization that even their president Morgan Tsvangirai needs to take leadership lessons exonerates issues raised by a lot of people in the country including some of the MDC-T Executive members like Nelson Chamisa, Obert Gutu and Roy Bennett as well as   former United States of America ambassador to Zimbabwe Christopher Dell that Tsvangirai had no leadership qualities which can take the country forward.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">Chamisa who is the MDC-T National Organizing Secretary once told Melinda Farris an American diplomat working in the American embassy that Tsvangirai lacks leadership qualities as he always listens to what the Americans tell him. On the other hand Obert Gutu, another MDC-T legislator also once told the Americans that Tsvangirai is indecisive and inconsistence.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000"> While chatting with the American ambassador to Zimbabwe Charles Ray, Roy Bennett, the MDC-T Treasurer-General  intimated that MDC-T was good at campaigning but lacked insight in choosing cadres of people who know how to run a country and that  Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is weak and  does what the last person tells him.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000"> Confirming that Morgan Tsvangirai lacks leadership qualities former American ambassador to Zimbabwe Christopher Dell in a memo to the White House said that Tsvangirai is a flawed leader not open to advice, indecisive and with questionable judgment. Dell went on to say that the entire MDC-T leadership lacks executive experience and will require massive handholding and assistance should they ever come to power.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">So the launching of LEAD Zimbabwe by the MDC-T leadership is really a confirmation that they are in agreement that they cannot lead the country.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">The fact that their entrance into the political arena brought in a bunch of leaders who thought that violence can fast track them into running the country confirms views by Christopher Dell that they lack executive experience and that they need serious hand holding for them to see directions and be able to run the country should they ever come into power.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">MDC-T`s launch of LEAD Zimbabwe makes them forget that leaders are not made but they are born. It is difficult to teach old horses new tricks. Teaching MDC-T MPs how to become good leaders is a waste of time and resources. These people have been brain washed by the mantra of their pay masters hence they have no solution to ZANU PF "supposed violence" and some of them are now urging their supporters to fight back if ever they are attacked by rival members from other political parties in the country.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">With such caliber of leaders who urges their supporters to retaliate in the event of an attack, would LEAD Zimbabwe really train them to think like real leaders who preach peace and democracy as well as reconciliation for the good of the nation. The answer is an oblivious No as the mouth speaks what is in the heart.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">Time will tell us whether these MDC-T leaders would be molded by LEAD Zimbabwe into real leaders like President Robert Mugabe who always urges people in the country to remain peaceful and live in harmony with each other.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">MDC-T leadership must come out in the open and admit to the people that they have failed to be good leaders hence new leaders need to be incorporated into the party. Leaders who don't need to sit on a bench to be taught patriotism.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">LEAD Zimbabwe is yet another unproductive venture among many which had failed to yield their regime change agenda.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">ZANU PF leadership had been running the country since independence in 1980 and they did not need white elephants institutions like LEAD Zimbabwe for the them to run the country effectively.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">All leaders either in Africa, Europe or America had not tried to undergo leadership courses before being elected into leadership positions.

#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">

#000000"> Hence, the whole nation will maintain a keen interest in the progress of LEAD Zimbabwe with a view in finding out whether it would be able to change MDC-T leaders` mindsets which are obsessed with violence and "the Mugabe must go" mantra  into peace loving leaders . Time will tell.
