Transition or chaos: Zimbabwe after Zanu-PF govt dismal failure and exit?
04 Jul 2016 at 09:08hrs | Views
Tyranny has been the character of Zanu people in leadership and so have been their life style and basis of leadership, a sad reflection on reality. Very few people understand or ever think of the impact such careless life style based and promoted on avarice, greedy and want of money, status and eminence with little entitlement has generally on the freedom of majority.
In conditions of speed actions thinking becomes fatigued to fathom greedy as a tool that may be employed to crush other's freedom, views and opinions in order to be revered and regarded as the only one important, rich and uncontestable in any forum in the land. Let's watch and learn with disdain and disciplined refrain. Bearing in mind that always Surrogates of decay and corruption are quick to use the term "Life President" in order to keep draining the country's fiscus, economy and wealth. President Robert Mugabe is one such character who almost succeeded making himself 'eternal' and everlasting leader of the country and people of Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is no doubt a case of decayed corruption promoted consciously from the highest office in the land under pretext of radicalism and Chimurega falsehoods. The country cannot be run from platforms of deception, lies and dishonesty. Change is overdue. We need though never loose sight of good governance in contrast to chaos oiled by surrogates who were like ticks to the Zanu government. It is time not to numerate failures of Zanu but exiting it replacing it with a democracy.
Frustration is the only tool that could render Zimbabwe into chaos when and if sudden downfall of the failing government is precipitated without a visionary transitory arrangement aimed to take control and continue with governance. People have to understand that chaos is actually a tool used to fail new initiatives of freedom gain and democracy by a people who have watched life waste away for far too long under dictatorship.
It aught be remembered that there should never be a pretext of enabling military surrogates of Zanu wish to declare a coup. Let's applaud our military to remain professional and protect the country and citizens urging for orderly transition to an elected government. Equally all opposition need rise above pettiness of scarifying people gains by wanting to impose self on the people but to faithfully wait a turn based on free and fair elections.
Zimbabwe currently has multiple opposition political parties. None accept the other as crucial and important except the battle of words since elections are out of reach as a Zanu preserve for now. Wishing anything with Zanu controlling government renders any opposition idea futile and useless. But people rising cannot be disputed as the most powerful tool for change provided we who are at a distance work together putting frameworks for transitional government machinery.
Six ideas surround the spirit of Transitional government:
1. Zanu must not be in control of government but a transitional team of apolitical Zimbabweans of good human report and character. People of common sense with traceable history in community building and love for human rights
2. They must be retired after the transitional period with a pension.
3. Nineteen essential ministries must be run in transitional time making government manageable and governable funding wise, with a president and a vice. A Cabinet of twenty-one persons run the transition.
4. International support must be sourced for security peace keeping and part funding of good governance
5. Elections must be conducted under a free and fair atmosphere, results accepted and a government sworn in to take over from the transitional team
6. Transition must be for Two years' duration to purge human hate, spirit of revenge, politics of sabotage, violence as a tool of subduing and controlling others. In short in order to re-establish the rule of law and implement it.
It is imperative that Zanu is going and going soon. There is no doubt too that President Robert Mugabe has curved his own demise by sheer failure to rule out of greedy. There has been no wisdom in Grace Mugabe exposing her ignorance on governance driven by sheer greedy the way she unveiled her ceremonious downfall. People understand and they also know the truth. It might have taken thirty-seven or eight years of open suffering; the wheel of change now cannot be reversed irrespective of time.
The Diaspora need work now with Inside so we emerge stronger than fractured to be disappointed. The act of people rising is not about who should be leader. If anything it is the feeling of greedy for leadership without deserving that brings complacency and making our loss so long and tedious to stretch for close to forty years in agony under the same party, people and leadership. Selfless acts drive from pain of seeing the suffering grow daily and callousness by those in power increase. We this time have to respect people resolve to resists open oppression by our own growing out of our sweat and labour to biggest capitalist in the land. But for them to then crush people and regard people as strangers to power, Zanu family continued control of the country should be withstood now that the momentum has begun.
It also is good thinking to form accords that unify people into single powerhouse to organize Zimbabwe for the bright and brilliant future. Its not about individuals sorry to say. Its about elections free and fair so we draw from wide spectrum of leadership, never seen before, but tested and capable in dealing with community and people in governance.
The greatest honour is when a man or woman, in fact citizens, think beyond self and work tirelessly for collaborative action to overcome governance evil and love of money and power above people. Armies in Africa and developed world have been greater in stifling growth to democracy. I have watched military rise give excuses than being honesty in matters of governance, With Magistu Mariam, former military dictator of Ethiopia among our ranks in the country, for his protection and for those who gave him haven, he might influence military coup. But I have never seen people's will defeated when the ideology is clear. Zimbabwe has had its share of poor governance and sheltering of tyrants.
A clarity in purpose to why change has to come is needed more so now than after the effect. The choice is people driven and sustained by the will of the people. Look at what history has offered and watch tendency for love of power and working without people than with the people in poor leadership. Leadership is people in council and consultation guided by their constitution-the supreme law in the land. Individuals have to come just as they have to go. Mugabe like everything else has to learn the hard way for the sake of happiness of the millions in the future. We aught to think and to reason together because victory is for us all. Not for a family, tribe, class or for the few who are party chosen. Our language and outlook has to change and will change if mass resistance to Zanu failure is sustained till victory. God guidance needed in times like these. Overcoming is a survival strategy and need leadership of valour. Valour to withstand corruption and all its pillars which is what has failed Zimbabwe dismally.
