Violence retrogressive

Zimbabweans are a peaceful lot and the recent violent protests should be condemned for what there are sickening and horrendous, another hare-brained idea from the clueless MDC T who are seeking relevance under the auspices of National Electoral Reform Agenda (NERA)
Just like the sanctions which caused unimaginable suffering on ordinary Zimbabwe were witlessly invited by the dimwit Morgan Tsvangirai and his band of merry men, violence which seem to have become the MDC party modus operandi is another farcical idea from the opposition political party.
MDC-T leaders have been deafeningly quiet after the violence that rocked the capital last which shows their complicity in the whole mess after the two controversially appointed VPs, Elias Mudzuri and Nelson Chamisa told a local newspaper that "This is the start of anger expression by our peopleā¦.. The endgame of the protest is a new Zimbabwe which is just miles away from sight".
Even after this revelation, MDC-T is shamefully denying responsibility according to a statement by party spokesperson Obert Gutu alleging that "some Zanu PF thugs and Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) agents" were the ones who torched the two vehicles belonging to the ZRP and the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) during last week's protests.
Gutu went on to claim "These Zanu PF thugs also looted several city shops, including Choppies supermarket that is partly owned by Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko".
Really, what does MDC-T party take people for, fools? Who would believe such hogwash serve for the delusional MDC T leadership itself? When in actual fact people lost their wares to these hired MDC youths high on sniffing glue and rewarded with pint of beer afterwards.
Zimbabweans themselves are saying No to violence. In actual fact those who had their wares looted should seek recourse through the justice system and have their compensation. The leaders of protesters should be made accountable of their madness and made to understand that every action has consequences.
The burning to the ground strategy has always been THE only tactic for the MDC T party. Look at the economy, the party and its sponsors (Chester Crocker) always wanted to "make the economy scream" so that the people will turn on their government.
The script went awry long ago and this new development is the MDC T endeavour to get back on course by sponsoring violence to spark the wave of violence amongst the reluctant populace.
All that Zimbabweans want is to put food on the table for their families and violence will only hurt ordinary Zimbabweans as is already the case. Vendors had their wares looted and some innocent by-standers were hurt during the melee that ensured after police tried to quell the disturbances.
Violence will only take us back as a country and no Zimbabwean is prepared for that retrogression. We are talking of having been left behind by other African states in terms of development because of the debilitating sanctions and violence will only wipe out the little left of our resources which is a grim prognosis indeed.
History is there to make people to make wise decisions for the future. Zimbabweans should be reminded that nothing came out of the Arab Springs uprising in North Africa than pain and suffering for the people. I would like to believe if those people would turn back the hands of time, they would but no such luck, you spill the milk you have to live with the consequences.
MDC Ts' impatience with the democratic process of having to wait for 2018 when the country holds its elections is borne out of fear of losing again, even with the purported coalition defeat is inevitable hence this idea of trying to assume power by the backdoor.
Youths of Zimbabwe should not be fooled as the law catches up with you and as we speak 67 people according to police reports are languishing in jail for their participating in the violent protests. That's another disrupted life that changes the course of one's life.
All right-minded Zimbabweans should condemn violence.
