Finding Grace

There are times that human effort won't get you through a challenging situation but only obtaining God's grace to see you through.
KEY SCRIPTURE:
"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need ."
Hebrews 4:16
The writer of Hebrews exhorts us to seek to find or obtain grace to help us in time of need. He tells us how to obtain it, that is, by approaching the throne of grace with boldness. People nowadays run away from God when the mess up instead of running to him. I believe that was happening to the Hebrews hence the the writer had to tell them to come in boldness so that they may obtain mercy and find grace to help them. You will only find grace to help you if you come to the throne. Remember the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has qualified you to come to the throne of grace. His blood paid the price or should I say its the ticket for you to enter God's throne of grace.
Genesis Chapter 6
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
In the above verses we see a time that resembles the current state of affairs in the world we live in. In this day and age sin has become trite and common place, abortion being legalised as well as homosexuality and prostitution. In the times of Genesis 6, the verses above explain that God blamed himself for creating humans, because they were being more and more evil. God decided to destroy the entire human race. In all that pending calamity the Bible in Genesis 6v8 says "But Noah FOUND GRACE in the eyes of the LORD." Noah found grace because verse 9 says "... Noah was a just man perfect in his generations.a. Noah walked with God" we can clearly see that Noah found grace because he had purposed to be just and perfect in his generation, he also sought to walk with God while everyone was fulfilling the lust of the flesh. People who will find grace in their lives, are people who will intentionally purpose to be just, perfect and walk with the almighty God. Make it your desire and pursue it. It saved Noah, and not only him but his family and animals. You hold the key for your family salvation.
To find grace is seen on many occasions in the Bible and many man pursued that, as they knew the power of of the grace of God.
Genesis 19
18. And Lot said to them, "please no my Lords!
19. "Indeed now your servant has found grace in your sight, and though hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life....
In the passage Lot found grace because he and his family had decided to live holy and not partake in the sin that was abounding in Sodom and Gomorrah. God sent angels to warm him to leave the place which was to be destroyed by God. Even you if you choose to pursue holiness you will find grace and be protected from calamity.
Brothers and sisters lets purpose to live for God and to live holy and acceptable in his sight so that we will have boldness to approach his throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
Shalom!
