Such a brazen act underpinnes the simmering discontent and lost confidence in impartiality of police. While the points raised by Johannes Ndanga in as far as they address abuse of woman and children needs to be investigated i think there is no authority vested in his institution to ban religious churches where the police have not investigated and prosecuted such a church for abuse or any wrong doing. Because Ndanga is a Bishop of another church it follows that he was a wrong messenger to force closure of another entity. Where does his legal powers emanate from to warrant police escort as a messenger of court .I believe it becomes a case of conflict of interest and his organisation is not above the law and must not operate outside of the confines of the constitution of Zimbabwe.
I believe his visit and purpoted ban is not constitutional and valid at law. Against this background his organisation might become a vigilante organisation bent on strengthening his organisation and centralising apostolic churches control for political gain and patronage. However beating of police officers must be condemned by any peace living Zimbabwean and points to simmering tensions and discord due to bottled anger and disdain against failures of Zanu PF to arrest economic decline and poverty.
