Mujuru applauds motor racing star Axcil Jeffries

Vice President Joice Mujuru has lauded motor racing star, Axcil Jeffries' exploits on the international arena and has urged the corporate world to support him realise his dream of becoming the first African to compete in Formula 1.
Jefferies this Monday paid a courtesy call on Cde Mujuru at her Munhumutapa offices in Harare.
Vice President Mujuru, who was Zimbabwe's first Minister of Sport in the 1980 cabinet, expressed admiration of Jeffries' exploits in motor racing at the world stage and pledged to assist him fulfil his dreams.
She encouraged the corporate world to partner with the Formula 2 star to ensure he realises his potential in a sport that is financially demanding.
Jeffries, who on Sunday arrived in the country from Europe where he has been competing, said he is as usual happy to be back home. 
He expressed gratitude for the support fellow Zimbabweans continue to render him.
Jeffries' love of motorsport can be traced back to much earlier years when he used to compete in karting at Donnybrook, Harare.  
From humble beginnings at the home of local motorsport, the 22-year old motor racing star has risen like the proverbial phoenix as he is now rubbing shoulders with some of the best in motor racing. 
Jeffries is in the country for a few days before he returns to Europe at the end of the week.
