Don't make enemies in Rio - Mugabe orders athletes

Zimbabwe's representatives at the Olympics in Brazil should not make enemies and tarnish the country's image during their stay, President Robert Mugabe has instructed.
The participants got the instruction Monday evening during a send-off at State House.
Said Mugabe, "Every one of you is a representative and an ambassador of Zimbabwe. You will, yes, have tough opposition, very tough opposition.
"But we hope you will also be tougher than they are but should you lose, to us you would not have lost.
"Just being there is a great achievement for you and for us.
"And, of course, we wish you can have as many friends as you can. Avoid making enemies at all. Be as friendly as you can.
"If you lose don't lose heart, there is always tomorrow. Avoid injuries and come back as strong and healthy as we have sent you here," he said.
The Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil run from August 5 to 21.
Mugabe said the athletes should be also guard against tarnishing the country's image.
"We expect them to display the highest standards of discipline, sportsmanship, and to market Brand Zimbabwe in a positive and sustainable manner".
