Caps United dissolves board

Caps United has dissolved its board two days after the club won the Premier Soccer League title for the first time in 11 years.

With fans still celebrating the crown, shareholders representative, Lewis Uriri on Monday dropped a bombshell, announcing he immediate dissolution of the board.

Caps United Acting CEO, Cuthbert Chitima will be in charge until Saturday when a new board is set to be named.

As to who will be in the new board, Uriri could only hint on the presence of president, Farai Jere and shareholder, Nhamo Tutisani.

Onto the club's participation on the African safari, Uriri confirmed the club will be representing the country in the CAF Champions League next year.

Uriri also announced that the position of CEO will be advertised soon, adding that changes in the club leadership emanate from the desire to strengthen the club so as to move in line with Makepekepe's aspirations of becoming one of the biggest clubs on the continent.
