We have come a long way with iTouch

It will be 3 years on the 10th of this month since we established as a leading football academy in Zimbabwe.

Was the road smooth and straight forward?

Yes and No would be my answer. Yes we had a good recruitment policy which saw us attracting female coaches, teachers and other leading coaches within clubs in their communities. No because as we started growing and refining we lost some of our founding coaches who had short term plans on an academy with a 10 year Development Plan for children.

Was it easy to keep building the academy from scratch? No as i needed to continously research, innovate and lead my team of professionals into the future of Zimbabwe football.

Looking back we innovated a football philosophy called "iTouch football" which is advanced and modern, we published a Blueprint for Zimbabwe Football which some clubs are currently using.

We have developed coaching methods, tactical periodization and situational iTouch sessions to suit the current talent from Zimbabwe. There has been a growing demand of our iTouch product on the market as several coaches have joined us with the view of benefiting from our approach to football tactics in the 20th Century.

With no adminstration experience and coaching experience I was brave enough to venture into an unknown citing the death of football in Zimbabwe which has dropped to the equivalency of English Football 4th tier League 2.

There has been a shift of football powerhouses in Zimbabwe with resurgence of Caps Utd and Highlanders of late. My beloved Dynamos have fallen down the packing order after dumping their historical approach of grooming talent and attracting the most talented players in Zimbabwe with huge wages which have shrinked to paltry allowances only for desperate players.

My dream for Zimbabwe football remains that one day the Warriors will play at the World Cup level and win the Afcon if our structures we set up come to fruition.

I would like to thank all those who have been involved all these years and who also have shared my football story to the world. We started with only 2 tournaments in a year but has slowly increased to 4 and now 6 in a year to accomodate the 9 regions which our centres operate from. We are now linked from Harare, Mutare, Marondera, Buhera, Masvingo, Chivhu, Rusape, Penhalonga, Binga, Chitungwiza, Mhondoro, Mrewa, Mtoko,Kadoma, Shamva, Glendale, Norton, Bindura,Mt Darwin, Karanda, Dotito, Mvurwi, Glendale, Chinhoyi, Karoi,Chegutu,  Magunje,Kwekwe, Gweru, Zvishavane,Kariba, Beitbridge, Lupane, Plumtree, Shabanie, Hwange, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls just to mention a few centres in Zimbabwe. We have also estalished centres outside Zimbabwe using our product iTouch to market our business.

What will be the future of the academy?

We thrive on success as a leading academy and would venture into tournaments outside Zimbabwe to expose our talent and our product. We aim also to continue developing our coaches' database both on whatsapp and facebook.

At the end of the year the iTouch book will be available on amazon for coaches to access more information on tactics.
