Following the suspension of 98 football players in Zimbabwe over match fixing scam, four premier league teams would be severely affected as they risk losing players and money invested in them.
Current champions Dynamos, Caps United, Chicken INN and FC Platinum contributed a total of 33 players.
Caps United and Dynamos have 10 players each fingered in the Asiagate scam, FC Platinum 11 and Chicken INN has three.
This could affect the performance of the teams as they resume the battle for the championship in March.
Some of the affected players ply their trade in other countries.
Club officials of affected team say they would convene emergency meetings to discuss the fate of the players.
"Some of the affected players are recent acquisitions during the off season transfers window. For instance we as FC Platinum we have Gilbert Banda who joined us from Highlanders. We need to see what we can do urgently" said FC Platinum official.
It is felt that if the affected players are not cleared by the Zifa Ethic committee affected clubs stands to lose money spent in buying players and left no option but to promote their junior players.
The affected players could also find themselves jobless.
Dynamos - David Kutyauripo, Augustine Mbara, Tawanda Muparatiri, Martin Vengesayi, Max Nyamupanedenga, Guthrie Zhokinyi, George Magariro, Wonder Sithole, Washington Arubi and Milton Makopa.
