Two of Zimbabwe's junior football players who went for an AC Milan Camp tournament last year are on the brink of making history by representing AC Milan's juniors' elite team.
Simon Kalabala and Malvern Madzuka are set to make history by becoming the first junior footballers to play for AC Milan youth teams.
After being selected into AC Milan's youth teams, Kalabala and Madzuka are on the brink of taking their first steps towards stardom by turning out for AC Milan junior teams.
World Wide Scholarships president, Munya Maraire was delighted to be part of an initiative which is set to give hope to youngsters wishing to pursue football as a profession.
Kalabala is set to take part in a tournament slated for the United States in June, while Under 14 midfielder Madzuka will play for AC Milan at the Tulsa Oklahoma tournament.
The AC Milan project was pioneered by World Wide Scholarships (WWS) which last year embarked on a partnership with Milan.
WWS held trials where players were chosen and went for a camp in Italy.
It was at the camp held in Italy where Kalabala and Madzuka were spotted and selected into the AC Milan elite team.
Meanwhile, WWS is set to launch the 2012 AC Milan programme at the end of April.
