Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be set to make a sensational swoop for Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao.
The Special One is keen to bolster his frontline and is reportedly prepared to include misfiring forward Fernando Torres in any potential deal.
According to reports in the Sunday Express, representatives from Stamford Bridge have already made contact with the Monaco striker's advisers over a possible move.
The former Atletico Madrid striker, who made the £52m move to the principality in the summer window, has been linked with a host of European football's heavyweights with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hinting at a possible move for him next year.
Mourinho was in the stands to watch the 27-year-old line up for his country against Belgium in midweek, although the Blues boss has insisted he was instead checking up on the progress of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
Midfielder De Bruyne has struggled for first team football so far this season and has been urged by his national coach Marc Wilmots to seek a move away from the West London club ahead of next summer's World Cup.
Falcao himself played down the significance of the former Real Madrid coach's presence at the ground, claiming that he was merely at the ground as a fan.
"He came here to see good football, played by good players and to see a good spectacle," the striker said.
"The Premier League is one of the most important leagues in the world but I am playing well and enjoying Monaco."
