Drama at Luveve Stadium: Caps United players boycott match

HOWE MINE today walked away with a cool three points without kicking a ball after opponents CAPS United failed to turn up at  Luveve Stadium.

Caps United, second on the log with six points were in Bulawayo, players boycotted the match over unpaid salaries.

Its players spent time at Bulawayo central police reporting assault  threats from fans.

With about an hour before kick off Caps players boarded a kombi back to Harare refusing to fulfil the fixture

Their fans followed them and caught up with them near Ntabazinduna along Bulawayo Harare Highway and threatened to assault them.

That forced the kombi to make a u- turn back to Bulawayo

How Mine therefore 'won' the match 3 nil as football rules state that after 30 minutes the match will be called off.

The game was supposed to be LIVE on Supersport.

15:08 and no sign of match taking place

15:15 and only 15 minutes left for Caps United to turn up for the match before How Mine can claim a walkover victory.

15:30 and the ref might blow the whistle any moment from now signalling a walkover

15:43 How Mine coach Like Masomere complained to the referee about PSL rules. The match should have blown the whistle to signal a walk over.
