Zimbabwe have qualified for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) after beating Malawi 3-nil at the National Sports Stadium in Harare this afternoon.Swaziland beat Guinea 1-nil in another Group L match, a result which ensured a third AFCON qualification for Zimbabwe.Knowledge Musona converted from the spot after he was tripped in the box in the 15th minute.
Khama Billiat added the second in the 36th minute to give the Warriors full control of the game.
Second half substitute, Cuthbert Malajila headed home the third on 90 minutes to ensure qualification for Kalisto Pasuwa's side.
Swaziland's win over Guinea worked well for Zimbabwe as the former cannot qualify ahead of the Warriors thanks to a better head to head record.
Swaziland however still have hopes to secure a berth to Gabon 2017 through the best placed runners-up spot reserved for two teams from all groups with four teams each.
