Telecel hauls three awards at Service Excellence Awards ceremony

Telecel Zimbabwe has won three awards during the recent Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe, CCAZ, Service Excellence Awards, the awards were for 1st prize Customer Service Executive of the Year, 1st runner up Best Call Centre in Zimbabwe and overall 1st prize Customer Service Excellence in the Mobile Telecommunications Sector.
The impressive award winning performance by Telecel, according to the company's Customer Operations Director was due to the company's purposeful focus on continually improving customer service throughout the company in all aspects of its day to day operations.
"Our deliberate focus, as Telecel, on customer experience as one of the key drivers of our corporate and commercial success is the reason we have been recognised as a leader in the service excellence arena. We believe customer-centricity is no longer an option for an organisation's survival in these competitive times but rather it is the key to the long term viability of the business as a whole," said Customer Operations Director, Ntombizodwa Chinyenze.
Telecel has been receiving customer service awards for its call centre as well as for its executives in previous years and has built a strong reputation around its customer service. This year's CCAZ Customer Service Executive of the Year for the private sector has been awarded to Telecel's Customer Operations Director, Mrs Ntombizodwa Chinyenze.

"Telecel has successfully leveraged on the key pillars of people, systems and processes to ensure we operate an integrated customer-centric organisation," explained the award winning Mrs Chinyenze.
Telecel CEO, Mrs Angeline Vere, was thankful for the efforts of the entire Telecel team in ensuring that the company continued to be associated with customer service excellence.
"I am thankful to the entire Telecel team for their efforts which have earned us this very important recognition but in particular I would like to single out Ntombizodwa Chinyenze our Customer Operations Director and her team members who talk directly to our customers either from the call centre or face to face on a daily basis," said Vere.
Telecel has been able to clinch the coveted 1st prize Customer Service Excellence in the Mobile Telecommunications Sector while Econet and Net*One got the 1st runner up and 2nd Runner up respectively in the same category. In addition, the mobile network was able to win the first runner up prize for their call centre.
This years' service excellence awards which were coordinated by CCAZ, were held on Friday the 30th of October to help promote service excellence in Zimbabwe. CCAZ has partnered the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, ZTA and the Financial Gazette to ensure that awards are presented to promote and recognise service excellence country wide across all industries and sectors.
