RIHANNA'S iPhone knuckle-duster case has been banned from sale on eBay after fears it could double up as a weapon.
The metal phone surround, which became popular amongst fellow celebs after the singer was pictured using one last year, has been removed from sale on the online shopping site, "The Sun" reports.
Alicia Keys and Nicky Hilton have also been seen sporting the "Knucklecases" on their mobiles.
But many of the products have now been taken down from eBay after fears they could be deemed offensive weapons.
eBay chiefs sent a message to a seller of the hugely-popular cases informing them that the knuckle version was outlawed.
An anonymous seller, who has listed hundreds of the cases on the site, said he has now been informed he will no longer be able to sell the popular accessories.
He said: "The knuckle case had been selling really well because everyone wanted one like Rihanna's.
"They're really stylish but because they're shaped like a knuckle duster they're classed as a weapon.
"I received an email from eBay saying the auction violated their guidelines and the listing was immediately suspended."
The phone cases, which are made from aluminium and sold for around £25, are shaped like knuckle dusters and attached to a metal frame.
A site which continues to sell the controversial cases online says the product will give your iPhone "the security it deserves with looks to kill".
Despite the apparent ban, plastic versions of the product remain on sale on the online auction site.
