After a lightning-fast costume change between 'Anaconda' and 'Bang Bang' during the opening number of the VMAs, Nicki Minaj walked back onstage - but something was amiss. The rapstress was clutching her little black dress closed in the middle across her chest.

Rapstress Nicki Minaj emerged for her verse on pop hit 'Bang Bang' while clasping the front of her dress, clearly holding it from coming apart in the front and revealing her nether-regions to the entire country.

She maintained composure - and her iron grip on her clothes - throughout the end of the number, daintily prancing while her fellow singers Jessie J and Ariana Grande danced with the vigor of performers whose clothing was not about to pop off.

It looks like the Anaconda got to her dress before she could put it on! Nicki Minaj goes in to damage control while performing her track Bang Bang live with Jessie J and Ariana Grande.



No one confirmed that it was an actual 'malfunction,' but when a pop star like Minaj spends a whole two minutes on-stage grabbing at her own dress while barely moving or singing, you know something's gone awry.
