Nando's collapse, construction company only applied new paint to over 100-year-old section

The construction company that renovated the Nando's building in 2010 has distanced its self from doing any structural work to the recently collapsed section of the building.
Technoexpert Construction (PVT) LTD told Bulawayo24.com that in 2010 they "were instructed not to do any work on the collapsed section except to apply new paint."
According Technoexpert the collapsed section of the building was over 100 years old.
"The collapsed section was at time of the interior renovation (which we executed 2010) was more than 100 years old and its integrity was not impeded upon by the works which we executed."
The company also said they are not responsible for the construction of ZIMDEF building as previously published by this publication.
"Technoexpert Construction DID NOT construct ZIMDEF House or any other ZIMDEF building to date but as of 2016 were awarded a contract to maintain the building as and when required."
"We along with the Bulawayo community regret what has transpired."
