MRP Youth Member appearing in court today

Wisdom Terrance Mkhwanazi the Mthwakazi Republic Party youth league member is set to appear at Tredgold Magistrate court number 2 this morning.

This follows his arrest which took place at Bulawayo between Selbourne Road and Fort Street on Wednesday last week and had to be detained at Central Police Station for two days facing a charge of malicious damage to property a charge which the youth leader is denying.

He is currently out of custody after his lawyer Maqhawe Mpofu of Abameli lawyers for Human Rights successful applied for a bail on Friday the 9th of March 2018 and the magistrate concurred and granted the bail where a sum of $50 was paid and the court ordered Mkhwanazi to report at Bulawayo Central Police station every Monday as his part of bail condition.

The police officer who arrested Wisdom Terrance Mkhwanazi on the said date boastful said I quote "We want you and other Mthwakazi people know that as Shonas we rule this country", translated from shona when he said "tinota kuti imi vanhu beMtwakazi muzive kuti isu Mashona tirikutonga"

The police officer claimed that Wisdom Terrance Mkhwanazi feature on the videos they have which were taken by the law enforcers on the 2nd of March 2018 when MRP members and police details from anti-riot clashed outside Rainbow hotel and outside the Bulawayo High Court.

The clashes were necessitated by the denial by the government of Zimbabwe to deny the Matabeleland Chiefs permission to have Prince Bulelani Khumalo coronated as the King on the 3rd of March and it was during the time when Obert Mpofu, the Home of Minister, Angeline Masuku, the Bulawayo Province Resident Minister, Kembo Mohadi the current imposed coup Vice President, July Moyo ,the Minister of Local govt and Fortune Charumbira the chief President and the Gukurahundist had tried to entice the chiefs not to go ahead with the coronation and the bogus meeting took place at Rainbow hotel in Bulawayo where Obert Mpofu vehemently refused to allow the meeting to go ahead citing the presence of the Mthwakazi activists who had initial barred the chiefs from entering the Rainbow hotel,arguing that the purported meeting was satanic and it meant to weaken the position taken by the chiefs to have Prince Bulelani Khumalo coronated as the Ndebele King.

"We call upon all like minded Mthwakazi people to fill up the court this morning in solidarity with Wisdom Terrance Mkhwanazi, it is during such times we ask for prayers, material support and morale support," MRP said.

"It is indeed true that an injury to one of us is an injury to all of us. Their threats, arrests, intimidation and abuse of power will not stop the fight for the independence of Mthwakazi as no one will stop the revolution whose time has come, it can only be delayed."
