Mthwakazi Republic Party has declared that its decision to contest the Zimbabwe's 2018 elections was the best move they could take in efforts to push their Mthwakazi state restoration.
MRP spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo said after carefully studied international Secession/Restoration politics, and the best peaceful practices they are fully convinced that the decision to contest 2018 elections remains the best available option, and the best decision the party has ever made.
"Mthwakazi people are expected to fully embrace the new order being introduced by MRP in this country's politics. We have seen this working in Scotland through "SNP" and in South Africa through the Inkatha Freedom party "IFP", it pushes for equal sharing of the National cake, while enhancing Mthwakazi's chances for a peaceful Mthwakazi Restoration," he said.
"Matabeleland people have suffered three consecutive genocides since 1893 in addition to many different forms of war and attacks, the most brutal and costly genocide ever to affect Mthwakazi people being the last one that was perpetrated by the Robert Mugabe administration between 1983 to 87 and has continued to this day albeit in another form. MRP leadership recognises the fact that Robert Mugabe and his tribal party have killed thousands of our people, traumatised millions through forced displacements, raping, maiming and torturing them, among many heinous crimes committed against us."
He said that was the need to act reasonable, strategically, peaceful and forcefully.
"Mthwakazi Republic Party therefore encourages every single 18 year old and above Matabeleland person to makesure they register and vote MRP. We believe that it is possible to achieve Self-determination peacefully, without the need for War. All we need at this stage is anough Votes, as well as enough international backing, that will support our bid for a free, fair and credible international backed Mthwa-exit Referendum soon after 2018 elections. The MRP three point plan is still on course and we expect to be fully supported by every Mthwakazi citizen. Considering the fact that ZANU PF,MDC-T, PDP, and NPP all of which being the top Mashonaland political parties are currently battling tribal, factional, succession battles," he said.
"Which on its on is a clear manifestation of division and tribalism in this country. The infights have once again vindicated MRP and the rest of uMthwakazi people. By openly revealing the authenticity of the 1979 Shona's Satanic Grand Plan that is now backfiring on the chief architects of the plan that was successfully implemented some 30 years ago by a then united Mashonaland and a fragmented Matabele."
Gumbo said now the tables have turned against them. Matabeleland people are now United, while they in Mashonaland are divided than ever before.
"For the first time since 1980 we have been made aware that within the Shona people there are actually more than five tribes whom the Zezuru had tried to swallow over the years. The attempt to muzzle other Shona tribes by the Zezuru is now backfiring as the other Shona dialects are now fighting for recognition the Karanga, Manyika, etc are now fighting the Zezurus openly as exposed by the perennial infighting between Lacoste and G40 within ZANU PF intensify," hesaid.
"On the other hand in Matabeleland just like the Scottish people we all agree that Mthwakazi urgently needs Self-Determination though we are yet to find common ground as to which trajectory to follow since MRP and others believes in Mthwakazi's total freedom from Zimbabwe while others believes in Devolution or Federalism, which is what costed the SNP's campaign for a YES Vote which ended up around 55 and 45percent in favour of a NO Vote. Now is the time for all Mthwakazi stakeholders as well as all of its citizens to find each other more and more. We are cordially inviting the Khumalo family, and the Chiefs to put their house in order and amicable solve the Kingship wrangle that has a potential to weaken our course. We invite all Matabeleland Civic organization to start supporting Matabeleland's struggle for Self-Determination."
He said MRP's leadership therefore calls for unity of purpose among all Mthwakazi parties.
"The mistake all of us mustn't do is to allow the above mentioned Mashonaland parties to dominate us in the 2018 elections. It should be a must for all of us to makesure that MRP and any like minded people win all the Parliamentary and Council elections without fail. Those of us who have never voted since 1980 now is the time to defend your country through your Vote, MRP at this stage is the only party that is able to safeguard the economic interests of uMthwakazi people. All the infighting in ZANU PF, MDC-T, NPP and PDP is a clear manifestation of the deep rooted division between Mashonaland and Mthwakazi, hence the need for us to co-exist as neighbours," he said.
"We are genuinely calling for all Mthwakazi stake holders to support us, in our election campaign as we also support their endeavours in making sure Mthwakazi is made free."
