An MDC-T official Chalton Hwende has accused Registrar general Tobaiwa Mudede for starting to rig for the ruling Zanu nPF ahead of the 2018 watershed general elections.
The remarks come in the wake of Mudede having announced that those with metal identity cards will not be allowed to register as voteras and to vote in the 2018 elections.
The mobile voter registration starts on September 4.
"I see Tobaiwa Mudede has started his mission to rig the 2018 elections. Banning the use of Metal IDs and allowing people to register with paper IDs is the beginning of an elaborate process to rig the 2018 Elections and retain the Zanu PF regime," Hwende said.
Zanu PF has been accused of rigging the election since 1980 when it allegedly clandestinely wrestled chances of power from the late Vice President Joshua Nkomo.
