Mnangagwa makes promotions in the military

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has made numerous promotions in the military starting with those who were retired to cabinet.
He promoter Air Marshal Presence Shiri to Chief Air marshal, Major General Sibusiso Moyo to Lieuteneant general on retirement, Major General Engelbert Rugeje was promoted to Lieutenant General and the three remain in the reserve force.
He also appointed lieutenant General Philip Velario Sibanda to full general and assumes the post of Commander Defence Forces. He was the commander National Army. Ambassador Major General Absolom Chanyuka Chimonyo has been promoted to lieutenenat General and assumes the post of Zimbabwe National Army Commander. Air Marshal Elson Moyo has been promoted to Air Marshal and assumes the post of commander Airforce of Zimbabwe. Moyo was the Chief of Staff Joint Operations and Plans at ZDF headquarters.
Other promotions are David Sigauke to Brigadier General, John Chris Mupande, Paul Chima and Hlanganni Dube to the same posts. Jasper Garikayi Marangwanda was promoted to Air Commandore.
Commissioner General of police Augustine Chihuri has started his leave pending his retirement on December 15. Deputy Commissioner general Godwin Matanga has been appointed Acting Commissioner General. Also general Constantino Chiwenga is set to retire pending redeployment
