Armed robbers wreak havoc in Mvurwi

Three armed robbers using a black Honda Fit allegedly pounced on Mvurwi people and robbed them of their valuables after offering them a lift yesterday night, Bulawayo24.com has learnt.
According to Doctor Warning Mazhambe, his parents, sister and her 4-year-old son became victims of the robbery after boarding the Honda Fit registration number AEQ 4512 from Sam Munjoma Street around 7pm.
"My parents, sister and her son were robbed at Tsatse near Concession by three robbers two men and one women who were using a black Honda Fit.
The trio stripped them of their clothes, phones and demanded their ecocash pins at gun point before varnishing in the dark," revealed Mazhambe.
Meanwhile, a police report was filed at Mvurwi police station and police is busy hunting the robbers.
Armed robbers are on the increase in Mashonaland Central and some of the robbers are believed to have been released recently by the presidential amnesty.
With the tobacco season starting to gain momentum more robbers are targeting people around Mvurwi and Guruve as most of them depend on farming.
