The Ndebele clan has been urged to try to solve their dispute over the heir apparent by allowing anyone with divine power to lead the kingdom to enable the monarch to be revived.
The call was made by the former South African Ndebele Chiefs' Secretary Enerst Ncube recently.
He said a robust approach must be taken in accordance with the Zimbabweans constitution to arrive at a legal and legitimate occupation of the throne.
"We need a king whose legitimacy is by appointment backed by his representatives to lead an all inclusive talks not leaving out the Mambo dynasty," he said.
"The chiefs are under the Chiefs council led by Fortune Charumbira whose engagement in the talks is very crucial."
He said the Ndebele king issue has dragged on for too long while the people are suffering.
He noted that the kingdom has long departed from the Khumalo clan since it's almost 120 years Ndebeles having no king.c
The claimants to the Ndebele monarch are Peter Zwide Kalanga Khumalo, Stanley Raphael Khumalo and South Africa-based Bulelani Collin Khumalo who was crowned at a private venue after the government blocked his installation scheduled for Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo in 2018.
Stanley Raphael Khumalo was also crowned at a private ceremony in Bulawayo in 2018 after police disrupted his coronation at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair premises in Bulawayo.
