Madziva man cheats death at funeral

A 33-YEAR-OLD Madziva man is battling for life at Bindura hospital after he was attacked at a funeral around midnight on Friday.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the attempted murder case.
"I can confirm an attempted murder case in Madziva where Blessmore Muroyiwa (33) was attacked while relieving himself at a funeral," Mundembe said.
"His assailants are not yet known and investigations are underway but his condition is serious and he is still unconscious in the hospital."
Allegations are that Muroyiwa left the gathering while going to the toilet upon his arrival he was assaulted heavily with a sharp objects.
He cried for help and when people came they found him writhing in pain and in a pool of blood with a deep cut on his head and swollen face.
His wife Linda Dopore(32) filed a police report before taking him to hospital.
