Wedza man axes colleague over gold dispute

A 28-YEAR-OLD Wedza man was arraigned at Bindura magistrates courts yesterday after he axed his friend in Mazowe over a gold dispute.
Denford Gambiza was sentenced to five years in jail by Bindura magistrate after he attempted to kill his colleague at Stories area in Mazowe.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo told the court on November 1 last year Gambiza arrived at Alice mine in Mazowe around 03:00hours.
He had a misunderstanding with the complainant over gold and he picked an axe and axed his colleague three times on the head.
