The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has issued a firm reminder to all schools and examination centres that the deadline for registering candidates for the November 2026 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced Level exams is March 27, 2026.

In a statement, the ministry's Director of Communications and Advocacy, Mr Taungana Ndoro, urged heads of centres to ensure all candidates are registered through the online system before the deadline. "All centres must use the online registration system and heads of centres bear full responsibility for the accurate submission of candidate data," he said.

The ministry clarified that examination centres must have a minimum of 10 candidates at both Ordinary and Advanced Level. Private candidates are required to present valid identification, including a national identity card, passport, driver's licence, or certified birth certificate during registration. Special needs candidates must have their requirements clearly indicated to facilitate appropriate arrangements.

Mr Ndoro stressed that candidates must verify and sign off on their registration details before submission. He warned that no results will be issued to students who fail to sit for all components of their registered subjects.

The ministry also cautioned against unethical practices, including registering school candidates as private candidates to manipulate pass rates, emphasizing that compliance with registration guidelines is mandatory.

With just weeks left, schools are urged to act swiftly to ensure their students are properly registered and avoid last-minute complications.
