Zimsec exam registration deadline extended

Government has extended the registration deadline for the November 2026 examinations under the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council, offering relief to candidates and schools that had struggled to meet the initial cut-off date.

Announcing the development in Parliament, Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement Minister Anxious Masuka, who is also the acting Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly, said the deadline has been moved from March 27 to May 22, 2026.

Dr Masuka said the extension follows numerous appeals from stakeholders who cited challenges in meeting the original deadline.

The move is expected to give students, parents and schools additional time to complete the registration process for the crucial end-of-year examinations.
