In a chilling incident in Whitecliff, Harare, two armed robbers subjected a family to brutal violence and sexual assault before fleeing with property worth approximately US$2,500.

According to reliable reports, the attackers broke into the victims' home around 1am on Monday. They first raped two sisters, aged 15 and 28, before forcing a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint to engage in sexual intercourse with his cousin.

The robbers ransacked the house, stealing a Samsung 43-inch TV, multiple cellphones including a Huawei Y7, Samsung, and Itel, electric cables, and groceries.

One of the victims recounted the ordeal: “Our younger brother was sleeping in the kitchen when he was awakened by an unusual sound outside. He saw a man peeping through the window and rushed to alert us. Moments later, the robbers forced their way in, demanded cash, and took turns raping us without protection. Afterward, one of them pointed a pistol at our brother, forcing him to commit the act before they fled.”

The case has been reported at ZRP Marimba under RRB 6912680. Police could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
