Man humiliated by sex worker

A Milton Park man was allegedly humiliated by a group of sex workers in central Harare after reportedly failing to pay an agreed US$20 for sexual services.
The incident allegedly occurred at Gail Court Flats along Samora Machel Avenue after the man, identified only as Tony, reportedly negotiated with a 19-year-old woman who identified herself as a sex worker and is popularly known as Mai Chimwana.
According to Tony, he met the woman at the corner of Sixth Street and Central Avenue while on his way home and agreed to pay US$20, despite only having US$10 at the time.
He claimed that upon arriving at the apartment, he discovered several other women occupying the room but was assured that he should proceed with the arrangement.
"I met this lady at the corner of Sixth Street and Central Avenue when I was on my way home and entered into the transaction. Upon reaching the apartment, I was shocked to see five different beds in the room," Tony told H-Metro.
He alleged that other women entered the room during the night, leaving him uncomfortable and concerned about the safety of his belongings.
Tony said he intended to obtain the remaining money the following morning after delivering materials to one of his clients.
"I wanted to take her to my client so that she hands over the banner, be given the money, take her US$20 and give me the balance," he said.
However, the situation reportedly escalated when he failed to pay the agreed amount.
According to the report, the woman allegedly enlisted the assistance of other sex workers, who forced Tony to remain seated on the floor unclothed while demanding payment. They also allegedly confiscated materials he intended to deliver to a client.
Mai Chimwana denied that Tony was unable to pay, claiming instead that he had deliberately attempted to leave without settling the agreed fee.
"Tony wanted to leave without paying the agreed fee and this forced me to call for support from other ladies. He had money but did not want to pay, and besides the services provided, he got overnight accommodation," she was quoted as saying.
She added that the original fee had been negotiated down from US$40 to US$20.
