It all started small in the United Kingdom at the beginning of March 2015 and now spreading to other parts of the world. The 'close down Zimbabwean embassies worldwide' is part of a well-orchestrated and well-choreographed civil resistance programme by a revitalised ZAPU.  As part of its revolutionary mandate ZAPU is re-entrenching itself in the minds and hearts of the Zimbabweans. This is a deliberate strategy designed to re-awaken the people's dampened spirits.

The people of Zimbabwe constantly live in fear, suspicion and distrust, this is not because they prefer it this way, but this is due to the unconducive political environment which has turned many citizens into zombies, petrified by fear. ZAPU through its ''close down Zimbabwean embassies worldwide' political campaign endeavours to empower, infuse and re-energise their resolve and resilience through invoking a bit of righteous anger in them.

A visibly angry Mr Maphosa, the ZAPU Chairperson in Europe, speaking yesterday at the Zimbabwean Embassy in London said "now is the time for Mugabe and ZanuPF to go, people have been patient for far too long, hoping against hope for change, whilst the regime continues conducting fake elections, year after year, now the road to democracy should be wide open to allow for people power and the democratic deposition of fake democrats in Zimbabwe"

In the background the co-protesters were singing soul-searching and revolutionary songs, particularly the one composed for Itai Dzamara. Itai Dzamara is a well-known Zimbabwean journalist who surprised millions of people by confronting Mugabe head on and calling for his resignation. Itai Dzamara was abducted by suspected state agents (CIOs). His whereabouts are not known, many theoretical permutations of what happened to him have been proffered, major among them is that he was killed and thrown in acid, yet some still believe that he is still alive, however, has been seriously injured to an extent that the regime is scared that if he is released in such a state his injuries will invoke anger leading to street demonstrations, which may lead to Egypt and Tunisia-style revolutions.

'Bring Itai back, if you don't, the Gadhafi scenario shall befall you' sang protesters. Gadhafi, widely reviled by his fellow countrymen, was killed in the Libyan debacle and was severely abused before he was killed. Many people suspect that Mugabe may end up the same way due to his dictatorial tendencies.

ZAPU has promised to unroll its programme throughout the world until justice reign and rains in Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile ZAPU is inviting all Zimbabweans to its Annual General Meeting on the 2nd May 2015 to be held in Leicester City (Church of the Martyrs, 19 Westcotes Drive,
Leicester
LE3 0QT).
