Thieving motorbike mechanic nabbed

CENTENARY - A 26-year-old man from Magona village under chief Chiweshe in Centenary, Mashonaland Central was finally nabbed yesterday (Saturday) after evading arrest for four months.
Sources close to investigations allege that Francis Mutandazi was on the run since the 10th of July 2016 after stealing a motorcycle at Chawarura growth point near St Alberts mission.
"We have Mutandazi in custody at Centenary police station.
"The alleged culprit had been on the run for four months, but unfortunately for him yesterday the long arm of the law caught him.
"We discovered some parts of the motorcycle that he was selling to other bikers and upon further investigations we managed to arrest him.
"He is currently assisting us with investigations," said the source.
The accused is a mechanic and was stealing motor bikes for spare parts and a lot of people who have filed police reports on missing bikes around the area are encouraged to approach the police.
Mutandazi will appear in court tomorrow (Monday)
