Man bashes wife for entertaining prophet

A jealousy husband is in soup after he assaulted his wife for entertaining a prophet.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where Motwell Moyo (45) appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Moyo pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to one year in jail.
Nembaware conditionally suspended the sentence to 210 hours of community service.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa told the court that on January 25 Judice Ndlovu told her husband Moyo that she wanted to go for prayers the following day at Shelton Nyathi who is a prophet.
The husband accused his wife of having an extra marital affair with Nyathi.
When the wife woke up the following morning the husband became violent and assaulted his wife.
