TODAY'S WORD
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
_By passing over the ground which man must travel, our Lord has prepared the way for us to overcome. It is not His will that we should be placed at a disadvantage in the conflict with Satan. He would not have us intimidated and discouraged by the assaults of the serpent._ so says one Christian writer.
Jesus bore it all. The tribulations we face are just a tip of an iceberg! Jesus will give us power to overcome as He also overcame the world.
It is only in Christ that Christianity are to find peace and a place of refuge as well as a source of strength. Frankly speaking, this world isn't home to true Christians, for they are not of this place but heavenly citizens. Poverty doesn't mean godlessness or curse nor is it a blessing! I don't know how much l should drive this to today's believers. Many Christians want to leave sooo comfortable lives that Christ himself never experienced on this planet. Brethren, be serious, in the world you will endure tribulations, but be of good cheer, Christ has overcame.
The peace we long to find in different areas can only be found in Jesus-let's take all things to Jesus Christ in prayer.
One principle we carry to our beneficiaries is "good cheer" among the tribulations. Whether it's poverty, hunger, old age or terminal illnesses let's be of good cheer.
Let's learn to keep our treasures above where rust will not corrode it, not here no no no. Let's share the little that we have, our love towards each other will draw many to Christ. Learn to share.
If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land.
