Zanu-PF is an obstruction to rule of law: The cost of dismissing nurses while people already die from lack of medicines in the c

One does not know what is best to believe in order to describe fully what Zanu-PF is. Sad, but however real, that Zanu is either tyrannical or outright in competed to run a country hence the state the country is what it is. Saying these remarks is not being unfair but straight from deduced evidence available to all the people in the country. We only need identify personal issues from national interest related matters which will make us qualify to make an educated decision on who should rule the country in a free and fair election. Constantly history has shown that Zanu Patriarchs are incapable of reading law or respecting the rule of law.

We have just come out of a military coup six month ago when all human rights activists spoke well of coup drivers General C Chiwenga inclusive. It was difficult then, clouded in the harsh reality of Mugabe elongated ruling time that was filled with abuse, to understand the flakiness of the condition.  We have had Harsh –Tags # organizations such as #TheFlag, #Tanjamika, activists like A Lumumba even though a Zanu , as well as my revered allies WOZA, including the human rights lawyers. Why does it become difficult for people to rise and talk strong against killing people by a stroke of a pen as done by the General Chiwenga in announcing dismissal of nurses without considering the dire situation people go through already lacking in supplies of medicines and no doctors, and sacrificing  nurses. Instead of making nursing a respectful profession it was and is, we are busy running down hospitals to Magaba styles and levels by firing nurses when they are seeking for a solution. Is Zanu government a negotiating government or a dictatorship of the military and veterans? We need promote our health professionals away from a beggar mentality we have grown them into by lack of care and commitment from misguided leadership. Zimbabweans need to redefine NATIONAL INTEREST in perspectives and correctly.

As I write this article, it is true that one of the high ranking leaders in Zanu is in South Africa for treatment. If these guys are proud of their work in ruling Zimbabwe why go out of the country using public funds to get treatment? To add insult on injury, they then fire nurses who are asking for a negotiation on salary increase without even attempting to negotiate and better the situation. Who is the bigger criminal here those who seek improvement through union activities or those who close doors and let masses suffer ailments that could have been removed easily by committing funds to buying drugs and looking after those who provide us with professional services?

Is it not fair for the country to demand for a publication of all political parties' financial accounts so people can see how funds are used? Because to think that Zanu has used more than $70 million each year on campaign logistics does not make sense particularly when a country cannot increase nurses salaries by 3% or anything at all. What have become of us Zimbabwe citizens? How in our minds do we justify passive acceptance of innocent people dying in hospital from lack of medicine then even watch them get worse when government unilaterally withdraw their services against a universal right to ask for wage increase?  If ever there is time when citizens can show solidarity it is now when we can show sympathy with the common citizens in the country suffering from poor medical services delivered by a mercenary government. I do not understand what sacrifice veterans gave when their national priorities are blinkered and self centered that they encourage suffering of the already suffering? How can any government improve upon public service when citizens go quiet when they are supposed to speak out so as to doctor the situations from deteriorating? These questions have answers in the heart of honesty citizens and not of criminals and with a mercenary attitude. There is no justification what so ever meeting needs for negotiation with firing. It is an abrogation of people's rights to make suggestions or demonstrate their un happiness in a decision or prolonged delays in averting an increasingly hostile human affecting condition.

If simple computation was done it will show that for the thirty-eight years Zanu ruled Mr. Mugabe and Zanu-Pf hierarchy's medical bills for treatment outside the country will come to millions of dollars. It will be reasonable at that point for the public to be given answers why these treatments were not done at home. How can sustain the country good governance when we take advantage of our positions to disadvantage the majority? It simply defies logic and good practice of the biblical injunction of; ‘Do unto other as you want them do unto you.' And the first group of people to refuse that abuse are the citizens of the country. There are no piece meals to freedom ever, its either it is attained in full or never. Zimbabwe let the freedom walk back through acquiescence of bullish behavior by the likes of General Chiwenga who uses the force of violence to force people into acceptance and docility. He then made a mistake resorting to removing Mr. Mugabe with ulterior motives blind to unfolding reality from simple truth of oppressive hustles. Truth be told, the people have no trust in this government of Zanu-pf and need some changes hopefully they will be honest to the late heroes and redeem the situation the country is locked into. Real soldiers ready and willing to defend citizens are in agreement that constitutional changes to government be our way forward hence forth. And there are real soldiers in the army who values their role and those who sacrificed to free the country from the legacy of oppression by anyone including our own native born dictators. But one signal that should show that we are ready and willing to commit the country to democracy is for all Zimbabweans exercising the right to vote and also voice support for justice. We must be ready to stand with those in the right and against those in the wrong irrespective of who they are. General Chiwenga is wrong on firing nurses for voicing their long standing concerns and his mentality is poor and bonders on mischievousness or outright ignorance on governance procedures. Zimbabweans need to show solidarity with nurses because they are the back born of good health in any country Zimbabwe included. Nurses need better pay so we do not lose them to neighbouring countries. How can we not burst our economy if we train people at millions of dollars then loose them to the benefit of our neighbouring nations and overseas countries simply because we cannot establish a policy to resolve pay for service deliveries?

Zimbabweans have to learn to push for revised improvements if we surely did not like Mr. Mugabe and all he stood for. While its good to trust others and give people a chance the second time round Zanu is Zanu she cannot change except we change them. We have to refuse to be divided by few petite bourgeoisies that are undermining the country as we watch. Soldiers can no longer ask us to march because it is a fight for the ordinary person who makes up Zimbabwe. It is the like of Hatch-Tags# associations and common people that should champion the people's causes whether it is Zanu or any other government when it ignores the plight of the ordinary by failure to respect human life. We are able to give statistics of road accidents but no more on deaths in the hospitals. We need to keep a watch of what improves life in Zimbabwe and what deteriorates human life too. Leaders must be compelled to stop seeking outside medical treatment unless it is something beyond what the nation cannot give otherwise this mercenary mentality will see the country gravitate from poverty to poverty. But then if we cannot speak out for it and demand it how do we hope the ordinary people will survive? Indeed how do we hope we can as a country survive?

Zimbabweans need to fight on Public platforms and open forums for the rights that make humans have dignity. It will not be difficult running a country of understanding people from community leaders who are teacher committed to explain simple issues than dictate them. Thirty-eighty years have been dictation, it is time we make a change and educate people on rights and not to abuse them. It is painful to know my mother, my father, my brother or sister or son or grandson are in hospital when nurses are withdrawn from service indefinitely simply because the government does not have capacity to govern. People of Zimbabwe let us stop to think for a few minutes, it deserves our supportive voice to tell any government to be humane and understanding. These coming elections should be that chance, Meanwhile Chiwenga need telling he shold stop acting like he is in a battle when confronting citizens who have need for negotiation without guns or being violent. Let us change our mentality. Why remove Mugabe to have another Mugabe? Why Zimbabweans, why, please, tell me why?
