Tsvangirai promise to rescue nation from 'clueless' Zanu-PF but has no clue how

"At this, our last Congress as an opposition, we boldly announce the closure of what has been the frequent and systematic theft of the people's mandate," said Tsvangirai.
When Tsvangirai was campaigning for the yes vote in the 16 March 2013 referendum and the July 2013 elections that followed he was equally bold and confident the Copac constitution would deliver free and fair elections and that he would win the elections. He was told repeatedly the Copac constitution was too weak and feeble to deliver free and fair election but he would not listen. He was also warned not to take part in the elections without implementing the democratic reforms first but again he paid no heed.
Anyone can stand up and boldly announce anything, anything; that is easy. "Muromo hazarirwi nerwizi!" goes the Shona saying. (To big mouth, there is no flooded river he cannot cross!)
How is Morgan Richard Tsvangirai and his rebooted MDC-T party going to stop the "frequent and systematic theft of the people's mandate" this time? They clearly did not have a clue last time although they were given a clear roadmap – implement the raft of democratic reforms and write a new democratic constitution – , the power, authority, time and encouragement to get the job done – MDC had the majority in parliament and cabinet, five years of the GNU and the solid backing of SADC as the guarantors of the GPA.
To stop Zanu-PF rigging the next election one has to implement all the democratic reforms and revisit the constitution, if not scrap it and start again. Of course Zanu-PF would like to rule "until the donkeys have horns," as Simon Khaya Moyo so aptly put it and therefore the party will fight tooth and nail to ensure none of the loopholes that has allowed it to rig elections are closed. This time, it is Zanu-PF that holds all the trump cards too.
The nation approved the weak and feeble Copac constitution last year and Zanu-PF will not want it changed and the people will have no appetite for going through yet another charade of constitution writing process. Zanu-PF has the two thirds majority in parliament and therefore will block any parliament initiated reforms. There is no SADC to pressure them to do anything. The EU has just removed all the sanctions imposed to pressure Zanu-PF to hold free and fair elections.
Zanu-PF can rig future elections with renewed confidence that the world will turn a blind eye to it all!
So, the nation will ask Mr Tsvangirai once again, how are you going to stop Zanu-PF rig the next elections?
This time it is the nation that can boldly state that Tsvangirai and his reboot MDC-T party will never ever stop Zanu-PF rig the next elections because if they could not do so when they had all the trump cards it is naïve to believe they can do so now that the tyrannical Zanu-PF has all the advantages.
Of course Tsvangirai would love to be president but he is too incompetent to wrestle any meaningful political power from the more cunning and savvy Zanu-PF. He has therefore settled for whatever crumbs Zanu-PF throws his way.
Most people have finally accepted that Tsvangirai is breathtakingly incompetent to bring about any meaningful democratic changes in Zimbabwe, his pathetic failures and blunders throughout the GNU years has removed all lingering doubt. By the July 2013 elections the donors had deserted MDC in droves and they have are not returning.
Zimbabweans have suffered greatly under this Zanu-PF dictatorship and they are desperate for change but unfortunately for them (fortunately for Tsvangirai and his fellow MDC leaders) they do not have a clue what kind of changes are required to stop Zanu-PF rigging the elections. Tsvangirai can boldly claim that he is going to stop Zanu-PF rigging the next elections and no doubt many Zimbabweans believe him just as they believed him in the past because they do not have the foggiest idea what needs to be done and therefore are in no position to say he can or cannot do it!
A blind judge at a beauty contest will pick the contestant with the sweetest voice for that is all he/she can go for. The Zimbabwe electorate are, intellectually at least, blind, deaf and dumb; both know Mugabe and Zanu-PF have failed to deliver freedom, liberty and economic prosperity but do not have clue why they failed. They also do not have the foggiest idea what should be done to put things right and are therefore in no position to challenge bold claims by the likes of Tsvangirai even after the latter has blundered a thousand times.
Like the blind judge at a beauty contest the electorate vote on the basis of the meagre details there have; they know Mugabe and Zanu-PF have failed and they will follow and elect anyone else who is not Mugabe and Zanu-PF. Long behold Tsvangirai is not Mugabe and MDC is not Zanu-PF! A healthy and functional democracy is not supposed to work that way but there it is; universal suffrage Africa style.
Universal suffrage should be a blessing but like our Marange diamonds, it is now more a curse than a blessing! Thanks to universal suffrage that has allowed voters to be judges on matters they are blind to see, deaf to hear and dumb to speak on; candidates like Tsvangirai who are equally blind, deaf and dumb can BOLDLY promise to solve all the electorate's problems and be assured of thousands of votes. The fact that those votes have counted for nothing so far is another matter!
"While our internal elections tomorrow (Saturday) will be the icing on the cake, we owe it to history and to future generations to provide the political and economic answers to this restive nation suffering under the yoke of a clueless political leadership and a biting economic crisis," Tsvangirai told his gullible supporters.
"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth," said Jesus.
Zimbabweans will never ever inherit the earth that is for sure. No chance, not when you are mentally blind, deaf and dumb; so blind in fact that even someone as incompetent as Tsvangirai has conned into believing his bold claims again and again and again!
