They are just sour grapes!

Former Zanu PF youths leaders who were recently given the chop are wasting their time in trying to vent their anger on President Robert Mugabe whom they believe is the sole force behind their expulsion.
Zanu PF is an organized party that has procedures of dealing with challenges. President Mugabe cannot arbitrarily expel a member before natural justice takes place. There is a National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) which baby sits issues of disciplinary nature such as that one leveled against the axed youths. As such, venting their anger on President Mugabe per se is misdirected. It was a collective party decision to rid itself of rogue elements.
The expulsion of the youth leaders will send a strong message to Zanu PF youths that nobody is indispensable. We had seen a disturbing growing tendency amongst most of the youths who laboured under the delusion that they were bigger than the party. These youths, if truths may be said, had grown big heads and it was long overdue for their heads to be cut to size. I am personally 100% behind the party decision to throw out the rotten apples. More of such youths must face the axe even those who promise war to our elderly war veterans.
Zanu PF is a disciplined party and it is that discipline that helped the party to execute the liberation struggle successfully. Most of the war veterans who participated in the Second Chimurenga were as young, if not younger than these youths, but they were very responsible and disciplined. We cannot have youths who denigrate the First Family. The world over, such families are treated with utmost reverence. Not to say we cannot criticize them for they are not sacrosanct, but that must be done with respect.
Having been fired, the youths made a lot of noise in the media which publicized their document crafted under the banner of Save Zanu PF Campaign. They accused President Mugabe of being the hand behind the problems in the party. That is not true. These youths were the problem because of their indiscipline and they also fomented factionalism. I know and understand President Mugabe as a leader who loathes division within the party and the country as a whole. At many of the platforms he addressed, he would not conclude his address without spurring party members to shun factionalism. It has become his traditional song to preach cohesion whenever he gets an opportunity to open his mouth.
It is extremely difficult to stomach what the youths are alleging in their document. After reading that malicious document, one is left with the conclusion that they are just sour grapes. Personally I have a problem with people who wait until they are fired to expose the so-called Zanu PF ills. Why didn't they confront their leaders then and tell them what they are saying now.
We know that it is cold outside Zanu PF and life will never be the same for some of these people. This is the reason why the likes of Rugare Gumbo and Didymus Mutasa still fight their expulsion in the courts of law. Godwin Gomwe for instance, had amassed filthy opulence through robbing homeseekers of their hard earned money. He did all this in the name of the revolutionary party. He cannot believe that it is the end of the road for him.
I smelled a rat when the youths alleged that President Mugabe sent them out to confront Mai Mujuru and those he regarded as rebels, while he played smart, unaware and uninvolved. These youths are just preparing for themselves a soft landing ground. The statement looks more like an application for a new political home in the People First. They want to join Mujuru in her People First. Thus, they have to pacify her before they are accommodated. One does not need to be clever to see through such a plot.
President Mugabe is the appointing principal of Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa. If he so wished to expel him, he does not need the assistance of criminals such as Gomwe. He has the constitutional say-so to fire whoever warrants such action. Therefore, it is utter rubbish for the youths to suggest that they were fired because they refused to be used as dogs of war to blackmail Vice-President Mnangagwa and rule him out of the succession race. Hands off the honourable Vice President please! He is a well-ordered cadre who, because of his discipline, has been with President Mugabe for over 40 years. A thirty something year old boy cannot ruin that longstanding rapport.
It appears it is now the trend with all the fired members. We first heard this from Gumbo who all of a sudden became a darling of the VOA Studio 7 for volunteering information that denigrates Zanu PF and President Mugabe. Dr Mujuru, Mutasa and Temba Mliswa followed suit and so did Kudakwashe Bhasikiti and Jabulani Sibanda. So we cannot read much into the rumblings of these bitter expelled members. Cde Simon Khaya Moyo was dead on the nose when he said he could not comment on what was said by expelled people.
