The days of Prophet Makandiwa

The Bible is the best Word of God. It is infallible and inerrant, a fact beyond debate to the born-again Christians. An eyewitness to the life of Christ, Matthew, is generally described as "an accurate record keeper and keen observer of people."  He is the one believed to have authored the Gospel of Matthew and I am intrigued by his choice of vocabulary.

Allow me to draw your attention to Matthew 11:12 KJV that reads: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force."

Of particular interest to me is the inception to this portion of scripture and its wider significance.

From the days of John the Baptist . . . so great was John that a season in history up until today is directly referenced to his name.

My question then is who this man is, what is so special about him? Well the answer is not difficult to find.

John the Baptist "an immerser, one who administers the rite of immersion" (Matthew 3:1; 11:11) no doubt a great man mandated by the heavens to be a preacher of repentance in light of an impending eschatological judgment and more importantly famed as the precursor of the Messiah, a man greater than he.

Upon his shoulder was a task so prodigious that no one could contend with his popularity.

In fact when Jesus Christ the son of God arrives on the scene His recorded testimony of John the Baptist is, to say the least, shocking.

So important was his ministry and work that Christ had this to say about him: "Among them that are born of women there has not arisen a man greater than John the Baptist."

Fascinating sentiments coming from God incarnate publicly proclaiming another pastor to be greater than any other man born of a woman.

The present generation of my fellow countrymen would have probably made violent objections to this pronouncement or maybe, just accept but under serious protest.

Another mortal human being like us, pastor like us, a man that we saw growing up, a man we trained, how is it possible? Many would argue.

Ladies and gentleman, what God says goes; He is the final authority in all matters. Biblical deliverers like Moses and Gideon were never subjected to public elections.

Often a man whom people think is best suited for the job is never God's choice. King Saul from the Old Testament and Paul of Tarsus serve as classic case studies in this regard (1 Samuel 8-10 and 1 Corinthians 1:1) Who in Zimbabwe can boldly claim that they have not heard of the man Emmanuel Makandiwa?

A radical and avant-garde minister of the word of God. Out of him flows staid prophetic ministry, deep revelatory and rhema word of Eloihim!

In his own words "I dismally failed Form Four, I am no eccentric genius but when I read the Word of God I just take the text as it is. For example, if it says 'then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard' (Isaiah 58:8 (NIV), I simply believe and expect it to happen as it is written."

He is a man of faith, with matchless humility and is full of love.

In my few years on the face of the earth I have seen quite a number of ministers of the word of God, but very few, if any, of his calibre.

With rare spiritual brilliance, he offers perfect explanations that are thoroughly accurate. Prophet Makandiwa's profound understanding of the word may without difficulty tempt someone to think that he reads a different kind of Bible from ours.

At church we witness, not recorded on TV but first-hand and live on display visible manifestations of the power of God being wrought by his hand.

Dead men being raised, deliverance from addictions, curses being broken, the lame walking and all manner of sicknesses commanded to go.

Not to mention the "stranger than fiction" miracle babies, instant weight loss and teeth regrowth testimonies to mention but a few.

Cases of arthritis and cancers are being healed dramatically.

Scripture is being fulfilled before our eyes and in every meeting at United Family International Church we are caught in a genuine spirit of worship - not of Prophet Makandiwa but rather the God he serves.

Destinies are being rewritten and lives transformed.

Sadly there are many Christians and non-believers in Zimbabwe today who have not found salvation in their hearts.

They have a serious misconception of the work of the prophet.

Surprisingly amongst the confused are some men of the cloth who have taken it upon themselves to discredit and smear the name and ministry of the man of God.

They claim to defend God perhaps forgetting Judges 6:30, Joash plainly challenging followers of Baal to allow him, if he be a true God to fight for himself in this matter.

They foolishly insult and erroneously judge.

Little do they know that, ignorantly they have vowed to support the cause of darkness.

They know no truth about him save information from hearsay.

The majority of people who speak and write about him do it with unadorned contempt, malevolent intentions and an unholy agenda.

They spend a lot of their precious time and effort in researching with only one goal in mind - to try and disprove him as a fraud.

I have always argued and maintain my argument that it can only be arrogance and arrogance alone that makes people outrightly dispute the existence of gifts of the Spirit.

Yet Scripture states plainly, that to some he called to be apostles, some prophets  and some teachers.

In the same Bible there are countless miracles, signs and wonders taking place at the hands of man.

All of these miracles cannot be logically explained, yet the educated and learned of our time consistently try to reason and discredit the work of God. Is this not a case of jealousy or pride?

The manifestation of these spiritual gifts serves to reveal the majestic power of God and obviously in the supernatural realm.

Our mental faculties cannot even comprehend these mysteries of God.

Instead of at least adopting Gamaliel's attitude, full of wisdom and maturity, he says " . . . Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nothing: but if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it; lest haply you be found even to fight against God" (Acts 5:38-39)."

If ever the man and the hour struck together, then this is it. We are living in a time and age where a remarkable spiritual revival is taking place through the servant of God Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa.

It's a pity that some with a vendetta against him totally ignore the wealth of beautiful, inspirational sermons and power of God thereof.

God has remembered Zimbabwe and sent us a prophet.

In my respectful submission to you and without any reservation we are in the days of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, love him or hate him but the revival taking place will remain indelibly printed in the history and chronicles of this nation and beyond.

Son of the Prophet
