Dembare suspend Lloyd Mutasa sympathisers

DYNAMOS have suspended four of their key players in the relegation fight for reportedly sympathising with former coach Lloyd Mutasa which led to the team's exit from the Chibuku Super Cup on Sunday.
Captain Marshall Machazane, Kingston Nkhatha, Obey Mwerahari and Peace Makaha have since been served with suspension letters referenced 'Suspension without pay and benefits for alleged misconduct'.
H-Metro is in possession of the letters which were served to the quartet yesterday.
DeMbare did not camp ahead of their Chibuku Super Cup semi-final against Triangle after they boycotted over unpaid wages and the team top brass believes it contributed to the defeat.
Sources at DeMbare told H-Metro yesterday that the players are also being accused of being sympathisers to former coach Mutasa.
Assistant coach Murape Murape is said to be one of the architects behind the move which has been widely criticised by fans and other stakeholders.
"They went back on their word; the executive promised us that they were going to pay us our money the following morning after we won (against Herentals).
"And they never did. So the boys just demanded their money," said the source.
The four were called in yesterday morning for a meeting with the executive in the afternoon.
"When they got there they were served with suspension letters. They waited to try and have a word with one of the executive members but it was to no avail," added the source.
One of the suspended players who declined to be named accused Murape for being behind the move.
"Mutasa is gone and is just being used as a scapegoat. First, it was Ocean (Mushure), and we know Denver (Mukamba) is a bad boy but people are not seeing Murape's effect in this. He is rude to senior players, some of whom played against him before. There is no senior player who would want to tarnish his image at the moment."
"The list circulated before yesterday and it was written by Murape who sent it to a guy called Munzira with Peace, Nkhatha, Marshall, Mwerahari and Saunyama (Gift).
"But if you are to look clearly, it was Nkhatha's goal that influenced that comeback against CAPS United, Marshall has been playing a true captain's role and was influential in the Black Rhinos win, Saunyama has been playing his best football at Dynamos now, Peace has been risking his career playing injured while Mwerahari got injured giving his all for the club," said the player.
They have since engaged Footballers Union of Zimbabwe president Desmond Maringwa for the way forward.
