Sungura musician Franco "Slomo" Dhaka has been featured by South African based Zimbabwean-born Gospel artiste, Dj Rabaaz real name, Claud Rabson in a  new musical video titled  #Famba nevamwe, a track off his new 2021 Gospel Album titled Minana.

The video is now available on most social media platforms.

Dj Rabaaz has released his 4th Gospel CD album and this video to coincide with his 50th birthday celebration.

There will be 2 more videos to be released later this month for Tirikupemberera Remix and Mwari veRudo (a new musical sub-genre he calls Mbirano from the fusion of Mbira & Amapiano elements).

'Gospel is the word of God, which I believe can be played and shared in any different form of beat or sound', said the artiste, who says his new album is a mixed bag to cater for all people with different tastes of music in museve/sungura, chimurenga, mbira, Afro-Jazz and the new Amapiano vibes rocking South Africa at the moment, just to name some but a few.

He promises a Dancehall track in his next project to spread gospel to the ghetto youths in Zimbabwe.

Dj Rabaaz says he sees no reason why a certain group of people shun the traditional mbira instrument when singing gospel.

As the word of God says in Psalm 150:3-5, 'Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals', I see no reason why we can be selective on what instrument we play when we praise the Lord, the artiste added.

He further said in  his gospel songs, he gives people 'milk of the Word' and this is mainly directed at the newly saved and those not yet born-again in Christ. Dj Rabaaz is a 3rd year bible school student with Christian Family Church International founded by Dr Theo Wolmerans in SA. Dj Rabaaz believes he is God-sent to spread Good News through song.

Minana is Dj Rabaaz's 4th Gospel Album after Tendeuka, Muvhangeri (The Evangelist) and Ndaiwana Shamwari (Jesu). Minana album is produced by Solomon 'King Solo' Simbi of the Dopiro fame and is distributed under RabSim Records label co-owned by the artiste and his producer.

Other supporting artistes on this new album include Nashe Ayret on backing vocals, Nicholas Musonza on Electric & Acoustic guitars, Takaona Bvure on Mbira (2 tracks) and Cure Massyv who created Amapiano elements on 2 tracks from the album. In his musical journey, the Chitungwiza-born artiste has played as a drummer in his early years with artistes such as Noel Zembe, Mambakwedza band lead by Sydney Maratu, King Isaac, Mozambican duo of Theresa & Awendile, Bulk Spirits, the late Pax Matenga and Franco Hodobo to name some but a few.

The musician can be reached on his new website www.djrabaazmusic.com for more information.
