Zim Achievers launches ZAA South Africa edition

Johannesburg - The International money transfer brand, MoneyGram announced the Inaugural MoneyGram Zimbabwe Achievers Awards South Africa. The prestigious awards ceremony will be held in November 2014.
 
This event, will emulate the structure and hopefully success of the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in the United Kingdom, now in its 4th year running. The awards are an epitome of distinction in various categories that comprise of the Zimbabwean Community living in South Africa.
 
ZAA Chairman, Mr Conrad Mwanza stated: "The inaugural MoneyGram Zimbabwe Achievers Awards SA will be a unique opportunity for the estimated 2 million plus Zimbabweans in South Africa to celebrate their own successes. The objective of the awards is to recognize and celebrate the various individuals, companies and organizations that have kept the Zimbabwean flag flying high and have significantly contributed positively and added value to their host Country South Africa". 
 
Mr Mwanza also stated that South Africa should look forward to an event that is going to be a night of glitz and glamour that will see some of Zimbabwe's best and brightest being showcased on the red carpet.
 
Regional Director for South and East Africa at MoneyGram, Mr Anton Luttig stated that MoneyGram is proud to be the headline sponsor of the inaugural MoneyGram Zimbabwe Achievers Awards SA event.

The Arts, Culture and Sports:
8.     Music Artist/ Group of the year
9.     Sports Personality of the year
10.   Media Personality of the year
11.    Entertainment Personality of the year

15.   Friends of Zimbabwe Award
 
The nominations will open on the 1st of July for 6 weeks and the community is invited to nominate fellow Zimbabweans who are pushing all boundaries through the ZAA SA Website www.zimachievers.co.za
