During a tell-all interview with Anele on "Real Talk"‚ Minnie Dlamini poured her heart out about various aspects of her life including her highly-publicised breakup from soccer star Itumeleng Khune.
The TV personality's whirlwind romance with the soccer star was the envy of many‚ and when the couple announced their split in 2014, everyone was heartbroken by the news.
Even though Minnie has spoken out about their breakup in the past and she has moved on from the relationship‚ her feature on Anele's talk show can be dubbed as one of her most candid interview yet.
Taking a trip down memory lane Minnie spoke about the first time she and Itu went on a date.
The goalkeeper apparently gota her number from a mutual friend and called to ask her out‚ but Minnie was working out of town at the time.
"He said I will fetch you from the airport‚ then we can have lunch and I will take you home. We had sushi and it became our favourite‚" Minnie said.
Speaking about the breakup Minnie explained that she didn't believe going public on social media had anything to do with it. She explained that there were various factors that caused their split.
"I was happy when it was good. It was the kind of relationship I didn't see ending. I did see myself marrying him‚" she said.
Minnie, who was evidently heartbroken after the split, says that she initially tried to keep it away from the spotlight‚ because she felt like she needed to protect their careers.
The good news is that Minnie has moved on from the past and has recently revealed that she's learnt not to discuss her relationships on any public platform.
Meanwhile‚ Itumeleng Khune, who has been romantically linked to fitness fundi Sbahle Mpisane for over a year, announced their split at the end of last month.
"Not everything works out the way you wish for it to do . . . some situations are worth removing yourself away from. I am no longer dating the Kaizer Chiefs Bafana Bafana goalkeeper anymore sadly‚" Sbahle said on social media.
