Drama at hospital, Bulawayo24.com camera confiscated

A Zimbabwe Prison Services (ZPS) officer at Guruve court responsible for Community service caused a scene at Guruve hospital on Tuesday after she impounded Bulawayo24.com's camera that had been used in an interview with her husband who was attacked by assailants in Mdindo.
The officer only identified as PV Muringai who was clad in ZPS uniform grabbed the camera from the reporter and confiscated the camera only to surrender it after a few minutes of her drama.
Apparently her husband Keith Rupende a teacher at Magaya Secondary was reportedly arm bushed by armed robbers who assaulted him with iron bars in demand of cash on Mondayaround 19:00hours.
Speaking to Bulawayo24.com on his hospital bed Rupende said he was assaulted by four to five men who robbed him of his bag and phone.
"I met two men who greeted me pretending to go on an opposition direction and subsequently made a U-turn to assault me.
"I overpowered one of them who called for iron bars and their colleagues came and to assault me demanding cash, I told them l had $50 in the bag and after the serious thrash they varnished," revealed Rupende.
He was seriously injured and a police report was filed at Mdindo police base before he was referred to Guruve hospital.
Meanwhile, there is an increase in armed thugs in Guruve since another case was recorded at Chingwaro Secondary School in Kachuta area where 10 thugs armed with iron bars and clubs chased after school children and a teacher on their way to school around 7am, the matter was reported at Guruve police.
