The king of Sungura Alick Macheso popular Baba Shero spoke in tongues when he was praised by Sulumani Chimbetu for his good heart in assisting struggling artists at Tanza Centre in Chitungwiza on Good Friday morning.
Macheso gave all praise to God and saying it is not within his power to assist but instead it is the power of God.
"Hallelujah vanhu vaMwari kufara kuonana nyama nemweya zviri pamwepo rabashaba tibashiba, l am very happy to be with you Sulumani and the rest of the people here, it is the power of God to be together here!" shouted Macheso.
Chimbetu was supporting Macheso at his home ground where legions of Harare supporters flocked to grace the show.
Meanwhile, Ochestra Mberikwazo chanter Jonasi Kasamba finally broke the much awaited news of the new album launch while chanting on stage.
"Good people Ochestra Mberikwazvo will be launching its 11th album here in Chitungwiza on the 8th of June at Aquatic Complex and guess what the band will be turning 20 years while baba Shero will be turning 50!" the ecstatic Kasamba shouted.
Ochestra Mberikwazvo public relations manager Tich Makahamadze confirmed the development but refused to give the name of the album.
"Yah it is true we will be here in Chitungwiza for our 11th album launch marking the 20th anniversary of the band, as for name of the album we are not yet disclosing it to the press," said Makahamdze.
Apparently, there was hullabaloo when a white man only identified as Eric took to the stage and picked the lead guitar which he played perfectly well prompting Jonas Kasamba to hero worship the white race.
Today Macheso tours Mutare while Sulumani Chimbetu performs at bar Rouge in Belvedere Harare.
