National Patriotic Front has fired its interim leader retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri.

Former Bulawayo provincial affairs Minister Eunice Sandi Moyo said Mutinhiri has been fired for refusing to cooperate with the founding members.

Addressing a press conference at Media Centre, Sandi Moyo said "he did not want to work with us. He wanted to set up his own structures but we could not allow that."

Sandi Moyo who is NPF chairperson accused Mutinhiri of being aloof when it comes to leading the party.

"He does not attend meetings. We send him communication but he does not reply. Now we do not know whether he had come to destabilize us or what."

Mutinhiri, a former Zipra stalwart resigned from Zanu PF to lead NPF which is made up of disgruntled G40 members who were fired from Zanu PF following the November coup.
