Former minister of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services Professor Jonathan Moyo has called president Emmerson Mnangagwa a shameless liar.
Moyo was responding to Mnangagwa's recent speech in Gwanda where he promised people that there will be devolution of power in the 'new Zimbabwe'.
Moyo wrote: "DEVOLUTION OF POWER COMING TO ZIMBABWE: Mnangagwa Devolution coming to Zimbabwe from where? Mnangagwa is a shameless liar.
"Devolution is in the 2013 Constitution. It's not been implemented because Mnangagwa & Bin Chinamasa opposed it in Cabinet & Parliament!," reads Moyo's tweet.
On Friday while addressing a rally in Gwanda Mnangagwa had said: "I know there is an issue of devolution of power that has to be looked at. We must be able to distinguish between decentralisation and devolution of power.
He also said "devolution of power is contained in the Constitution. We have an organ which is called the provincial councils which devolves power to the provinces."
"Currently our provincial ministers were political but now it has changed. Provincial ministers are now focusing on the economy. The Provincial minister should now ensure that the GDP of that province grows," he said.
