Mthwakazi Republic Party today held a rally at Siganda in Bubi constituency. The rally was marked by football tournament at Siganda centre.

Party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo said the event which was organized by the Bubi party leadership, was also attended by the MRP president Mqondisi Moyo, who was the guest speaker.

"Among the NEC members present, was the party's national chairperson Mqondisi Ndebele, and Foreign Affairs Secretary Njabulo Ngwenya. Also in attendance was the aspiring candidate Cde Zenzele Gumede who was officially introduced to the Bubi electorate," he said.

"The event lived up to expectation, with sublime football skills that are rare in rural environment. The party was also overwhelmingly received by the people of Siganda who unequivocally pledged to vote for MRP in the coming elections. The people of Bubi spoke strongly against their marginalization by the current tribal and segregationist political system. They promised to mandate MRP through their votes to bring political sanity within Mthwakazi territory."

He said the people of Bubi complained about their Gold being extracted by people from other regions.

"They also registered their displeasure with local mines that are not employing local youths and are not committed to assist in improving infrastructure within their areas of operation," he said.

Mqondisi Moyo in his address urged the people of Bubi to fight for their political power and to be brave towards Mthwakazi self determination.

"We thank all the candidates who left their constituencies to come and give support to Cde Zenzele Gumede. Our special thank also goes to all MRP members who were part of the delegation," he said.
