MDC-T Spokesperson Linda Masarira has penned a letter to President Emmerson Mnangagwa calling to take action on the on the inherent culture of corruption found in ZANU PF  and ZANU PF government officials.

Her letter comes at a times when whistle blower Acie Lumumba  is doing a series of Facebook Live videos exposing what he calls cartels who are running the country down.

Find the letter below.

Dear ED Mnangagwa
Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. For years your party has ran down the economy by heavyweights who were and are still involved in corrupt,  unethical and uncouth activities. Spare a thought for the millions who voted for you

The majority of those who voted for you reside in rural areas and have no economic opportunities, limited and no access to quality, affordable healthcare and education. I don t see any serious political will from your office to deal with corruption. Zimbabweans have suffered enough.

Across all sectors corruption is a very high risk for companies operating in Zimbabwe. Investors face both high-level corruption in the form of nepotism, patronage and abuse of power, as well as petty bribery and extortion. Why is ZACC silent? Corruption has destroyed Zimbabwe.

My duty as an active citizen is to hold the government of the day to account. ZANUPF  had anti-corruption billboards all over yet when it comes to implementation dhololo.

The foreword of ZANU PF Manifesto reiterated economic emancipation of the people and unshakable principles that uphold justice & equity for all yet there have been no efforts so far from ZanuPF to work towards that. Dealing with corruption will lead to economic emancipation.

Corruption is a deadly disease  like cancer. It feeds on the host. We have so many unresolved corruption sagas involving millions and billions of dollars. A billion $ can go a long way in resuscitating the economy,  imagine what the missing $15b would have done for Zimbabwe.
