Poacher jailed 9 years

FIVE pairs of ivory landed a Mushumbi man in jail after he was given a mandatory 9year sentence by Guruve magistrate Geraldine Mutsotso.

Bavalo Masvisva was convicted after full trial.

According to state papers sometime in October last year Zimparks officials and the police received a tip off that Masvisva had five pairs of ivory that he was selling.

The team purpoted to be buyers and arrested Masvisva in the process.
