Maskandi musician Skhosana Buhlungu's Dlala Ntethe song has become an international buzz as it has attracted the attention of artistes from as far as the Czech Republic and South Africa who have remixed it.

The song that was released last week is a banger without a doubt with its visuals on YouTube nearing 40 000 views in a week.

The remix tracks that are in imbube and Amapiano genres are also potential hits if the feedback they have been receiving is anything to go by.

The imbube remix was done by South Africa-based imbube group Amakhosi Amahle while the Amapiano track was done by Czech Republic-based Roben Mlauzi aka Mamozi, locally-based Keletso Malane aka DJ Kellzmania and Mercent Nyathi.

Amakhosi Amahle leader Mkhululi Hadebe aka DJ Pepsy Mthimkhulu said the talent endowed by Skhosana ignited them to do a remix as a way of endorsing his talent.

"As an imbube artiste, I saw a lot of criticism from people who were discriminating against Skhosana's talent. We then thought of supporting him through an imbube remix of the song.

"The remix was recorded at our own studios, MDS Studios in Diepsloot," said DJ Pepsy Mthimkhulu.

Mamozi said they used the digital space to collaborate for the remix from different parts of the world.

"After we saw the Dlala Ntethe dance challenge, Mercent and I decided to remix the song on one of our WhatsApp groups called Kasi news. We sent audios and one Kellzmania, a musician and producer added a beat. That's how the remix track came about and hit the WhatsApp streets.

"The remix is all about having fun and supporting one of our own. I think it'll do well as people vibe to the Amapiano genre and Ntethe is a hit," said Mamozi.

The push of the original track might be in the right direction as it is now being tipped in different corridors as a contender for the nation's best song of the year. Skhosana's manager Madlela "Dlelas" Skhobokhobo said they are happy with the support that the song has been receiving and the Ntethe remixes that are emerging.

"The remixes were sent to me and we're happy with them as it shows that the original track is a hit. This is giving the original track mileage and is proof enough that many people are jamming to the Skhosana hit.

"Ntethe is a hit song, no doubt about that," said Dlelas. Meanwhile, Dlelas said the Ntethe dance challenge that is ongoing will see winners being announced next Friday.
